In the contemporary era, management practices are considered as a multidimensional, hybrid and context-dependent concept. Therefore, explaining management practices in the public sector requires the use of a range of theoretical perspectives and hybrid approaches. Accordingly, the present study is an applied-developmental research that aimed to systematically review bibliometrics and thematic analysis of documents related to management practices and based on the interpretive paradigm. For this purpose, 5254 relevant English-language scientific articles in the Scopus scientific database (in the period 1971-2026) were identified and entered into the VOSviewer software. The bibliometric analysis used in this study included examining the evolution of management practices, the most effective articles, authors, co-citations of authors, and keywords, which resulted in the identification of 5 clusters of psychological and methodological foundations, intangible assets and organizational knowledge, strategic management and resource-based perspective, organizational behavior at the individual level and employee relations, and strategic human resource management, green, and new approaches. Then, based on the PRISMA protocol, 30 articles were confirmed, and their thematic analysis led to the identification of 6 main themes, 22 sub-themes, and 72 open codes. Finally, by considering the main themes as management practices (future-oriented management, process-oriented management, developmental management, performance-oriented management, program-oriented management, and audit management), the conditions of the organization, the characteristics of the manager, and the employees for the implementation and execution of each management practice were introduced.
